The French Revolution (1789-1799) consisted of a period of extreme social and political upheaval in France and Europe. The absolute monarchy that had ruled France for centuries, collapsed in three years. The French company undertook an epic transformation privileges as feudal, aristocratic and religious evaporated under assault by liberal political groups continued and the masses in the streets. The hitherto prevailing ideas of hierarchy and tradition succumbed to the new enlightened principles of citizenship and inalienable rights.
The French Revolution began with the convening of the Estates General in May 1789. The same year saw in June and members of the Third Estate proclaimed the "Tennis Court Oath", the assault of the Bastille in July, the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen "in August, and an epic march on Versailles, which forced the royal court to move to Paris in October. The years that followed were dominated by tensions between various assemblies liberal and conservative monarchy's attempt to stall the reforms. Republic was proclaimed in September 1792 and King Louis XVI was executed the following year.
A work of art in many ways ...It seems that today's conservative monarchy are all 'working' in the 'sector Financial ', and settled in the' big games'.
Is not it high time to repeat it? would be cool to participate in something so epic ...
